Episode Notes

EPISODE THREE: These first three episodes have been a collection of unrelated songs, but I expect many future episodes to be more theme-based.  I also plan to add more commentary between songs.

As I mention during the show, the Run-DMC hit It’s Tricky includes a classic riff from the Knack’s 80’s hit My Sharona.  (Even though It’s Tricky came out in 1987, it wasn’t until 2006 that The Knack sued Run-DMC, and it was settled out-of-court.)  I recently (today!) learned that the song also uses the vocal structure of Toni Basil’s 1982 hit Mickey.  (Using those two “borrows”, you can change “It’s tricky” to “hey Mickey” and then sing “my Sharona” during the guitar riff.)

Look in these Episode Notes for links, images, etc., that pertain to an episode, and that I likely referred to during the show.  I’ll also include here special thank you’s to those who have been supporting me on this venture, and probably a short list of songs I may wanted to have included in an episode, but did not have the full license to do so.
